Sean Penn

Is it just me, or did other people also find Sean Penn’s Academy Award-winning performances in I Am Sam and Milk to be oddly similar? I’m not saying that mentally challenged adults and gay rights activists have something in common (I personally would have never seen any common ground except for a love of 60s music), but Sean Penn portrays both characters in such a way that, well, I wonder what sort of people he based his performances on. I think I’ll go watch some other Sean Penn movies to see if that’s normal for him. Maybe that’s just the way he acts?
